GBC Green Practice
GBC Launches Dedicated Green Practice
The 21st century is likely to go down in history as the era when the environment became one of the most important issues of our time. Communications is set to play a major role and GBC is absolutely committed to ensuring we look after the environment both now and in the future. Being green isn’t just a part of the larger CSR umbrella – it’s going to be a way of life.
To this end, GBC has launched dedicated environmental practices across the UK, US, France & Germany. The practices’ focus is to provide responsible, yet effective public relations and public affairs services to clients looking to communicate their green credentials both in business and in the community.
But…we don’t take a ‘tree hugger’ approach. In today’s business world, green has still got to be good for business. Green fatigue and cynicism is already prolific. We’ll be honest with you on whether your green offering measures up and whether you’ll be taken seriously. The green movement is about being responsible and we believe your communication strategy should mirror that.
GBC is already running a range of high profile environmental campaigns across a number of specific market sectors, including food and drink, waste management and recycling as well as the IT industry.
We are delivering a range of services for clients including:
• Corporate strategy
• Branding, positioning and messaging
• CSR
• Crisis communications
• Sustainability, through to government relations, press and analyst relations.
Whether you are aiming to implement a full CSR plan or simply publicise your green initiatives, GBC can help you deliver your message and make it resonate.

We practice, what we preach…
Our work with clients is backed up by GBC’s own internal green charter launched two years ago, which covers a range of initiatives from energy usage through to recycling. In the past year alone, GBC’s energy bill has been reduced by a huge 37%; our refuse collection down from 15 bags to six bags and our paper purchasing reduced by almost 20%. It just goes to show that being green is not only good for the environment, it’s good for business!
